copycat

Baby Chickadee:

• takes the comb from my hand after I’m finished using it on her sister’s hair, then runs it over her own head;
• fake laughs when the rest of the room is laughing;
• puts pen to paper.  One time I found her on the floor of my bedroom, holding my 4×6″ notebook in one hand with my pen in the other (using perfect pen-holding form, nonetheless);
• reads to herself.  Saturday morning I caught her babbling with a book open on her lap as she ran her finger from left to right, back and forth over the page.

I know I’m a proud mama, but I think I may have a baby genius on my hands.  She’ll be in good company, living in the same home with G and Little Missy.
