I bought an expensive swimsuit from Lime Ricki upon the suggestion of my sister-in-law Ang.
Well, it’s not really that expensive as far as swimsuits go, but it is an expensive outfit compared to every other outfit I own. Every other outfit except for the ones my mama buys me. It’s nice to have a mama willing to splurge on clothes for you when you have somewhere nice to be seen (more on that later).
Anyway, I decided to buy an expensive swimsuit because:
- My husband and kids love to swim at the Y and I need to hang out there with them.
- I’d like to be modest while doing so.
There is no need for girls to let all their stuff hang out, and certainly not girls of my age who’ve carried three babies.
So I bought a very adorable tankini and a swimskirt and I will be as covered up as I can be without going this route.

I bought the black swimskirt and Augustina tankini top. I wish they’d had a plain gray or plain black top, but maybe it’s for the best. That would have been awfully boring
