Earlier this afternoon Little Missy found a cd that goes with an old book of hers. For about thirty minutes after re-discovering the treasure she sat next to her princess cd player and sang along to the old favorite songs of “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes” and “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” Then when G got home they both blared the music and sang along after finishing a round of Dora’s “Candyland.”
Part of me is surprised at how much they’re enjoying the music. I mean, aren’t those baby songs? My kids who watch the real Spider-Man and my son can read and my daughter is pretty good at addition.
But they’re just babies themselves. Just in kindergarten and preschool. I forget how young they are sometimes.
