Last weekend while I shopped with Hayley she told me about a fashion blog she likes to read. On it, this girl takes a picture of her outfit Monday-Friday, provides links to where we can buy similar stuff, and that is that.
Weird, I know. The only fashion blog I ever look at is The Sartorialist, which basically proffers you can wear anything weird and pull it off as long as you walk with your shoulders back. Case in point: a lady in NYC. I mean, some of the people wear very pretty clothes, and then some don’t.
Also, I stumbled upon a fashion blogger (I use that term very loosely) a few years ago and all she did was take pictures of herself in front of her full-length mirror while she wore a J.Crew t-shirt and jeans every day. Now I like J.Crew but this girl could not have made their clothes look more boring.
So when Hayley told me about this one girl’s blog I was intrigued because my sister is a fantastic dresser. Hayley once went an entire semester in college without wearing the same outfit twice. Impressive.
Here’s the blog: Kendi Everyday. Her outfits are a little more bold than I wear, but I like them. And they give me ideas for my own clothes. Because if I’m going to stick to owning a limited amount of clothes then I need to keep the ones I have interesting to me, and the best way to do that is by mixing them up.
In other Fashion-Related News of Erin, Ang sent me a link to this site. Swimsuits that are modest without being grandmotherly. It’s nice that a company finally figured out some of us don’t want our bellies hanging out but do want a snappy swimsuit while we hang with our kids at the Y.
