Yesterday when I woke up from my Sunday afternoon nap Hubby was already downstairs, leaving just me and the still-sleeping Baby Chickadee.  I always wake up when Hubby wakes up, either from his jostling around the room or opening and closing the door on the way downstairs, but yesterday afternoon I slept so deeply that I heard none of it.  It was good, because lately I haven’t been sleeping all that well.  I laid there in the semi-dark, groggy and lying with my hand on Baby Chickadee’s tummy as it rhythmically rose up and down with each breath.

Then from downstairs I heard Little Missy exclaim, “It’s Christmas!”  Which meant it was snowing.  So I pulled myself out of bed, carried the baby with me, and we all sat in the living room, looked out the windows and marvelled at the snow.

Quickly the conversation turned to sledding.  G and Little Missy put on their snow gear and we drove to the hill behind the middle school.

That is exactly what the boys thought when they saw the snow! We had to watch a Christmas movie this afternoon to celebrate Christmas. I love their little minds =)
