the most awesomest things i’ve never blogged about, part 2

in hubby, random-ness

The day before Baby Chickadee was born Hubby and I had a long afternoon date.  G and Little Missy were with my in-laws, my induction was scheduled for the next morning, so Hubby took off a half day and we ate out, went to a movie, and I think went to get coffee.

That is the last date we went on and that was almost five months ago.  I should probably remedy the situation.

Anyway, as we sat in the empty Warren theatre and waited for the movie to begin I saw a guy in his early twenties walk up the stairs.  Since there was no one else in the theatre I wondered if he was going to sit and wait for somebody, and if not, then how sad to be watching “Date Night” when you don’t have a date.

When he reached the top of the stairs he grabbed the handrail, gave it a good shake with both of his hands, and then climbed on it.  Hubby and I started laughing and quietly yelled “Don’t jump!  Don’t jump!”

And then he did.

Jump, that is.

Cuckoo boy base-jumped in the Warren Theatre.

Our giggles overcame us.  After a minute, when neither of us heard anybody move, Hubby thought it best to check out the situation.  He leaned over the railing and found Cuckoo Boy face down, with his butt crack exposed, still but breathing.  Then Cuckoo Boy moaned, stood up, shook himself off and walked out of the door.

I hope his next base-jump attempt goes better.

I have no idea what that guy was thinking. That must have been a 15-20 foot drop.
