Love this column!! I think the article may be a little off though! I know I spend way more time with the kiddos now than I did the years I worked….we have time to snuggle before getting ready in the morning, we have chill out days…where we go nowhere and simply play the day away, plus I get to eat all 3 meals with the kiddos without feeling like I have to rush out the door—aside from the times we are rushing to a sport! I am also very uninventive when it comes to monster trucks and such…but I am one heck of a play chef and can read a mean story!! Miss you all…see you soon!
I loved this article too! I think there comes a time in every kid’s life when Mom doesn’t have to come up with every activity. Especially when they’re as close in age as ours. Sometimes I get to feeling guilty about not spending enough “quality” time with the kids, but then I think about how awesome it would have been to lay in bed in the morning and watch cartoons with my mom and just to have her around when I really needed her. I hope when the kids are old enough, they’ll look back on those memories and smile. I think they will:)
I’m a woman who loves Jesus, my husband, my children, and everyday I try to show my love more completely to them. I also like to laugh and be with friends. And as of December 2008, I'm a weekly newspaper columnist. You can reach me at erinslittlecorneroftheworld@gmail.com.
