Back when Hubby was gone for three weeks I decided to watch lots and lots of girly movies that he would never watch with me. Turned out I didn’t have the desire to watch lots and lots of girly movies because my sweet husband has brainwashed taught me about all-things-that-are-cool and now I only like watching movies that are intellectual, such as Hot Fuzz or The Machinist. The one movie I did watch was Lars and the Real Girl. Have you guys seen it? It is a beautiful movie about a small town surrounding and loving and not judging one of their own as he goes through a very strange time.
A few months ago I made Hubby watch the movie, and as it played I kept looking at him during key parts with a “don’t-you-love-it?” look. And how is anybody supposed to watch a movie that they don’t care for, with somebody who loves it and is constantly pestering you to love it, too? So I apologize to Hubby for trying to push on him my idea of an excellent movie. He liked it (and no, I don’t think I forced that opinion out of him), but I don’t think it’s one of his favorites. Which is okay. But Internet Peeps, if you watch it and can’t at least appreciate it then you should take a good look at your soul, because it just might be black.
Last weekend when Nana and Grandpa were in town Hayley and Todd were also over at our house when G made them watch one of his shows. And I know this post would be a lot more effective if I could remember exactly which show it was, but I cannot remember. Anyway, the point is that he kept watching his Nana to make sure she loved his show, too. And Nana was like my Hubby when we watched Lars and the Real Girl, trying her hardest to feign interest in a show she could have gone without. Sweet family that tries to placate me and my son.

Hee Hee!
I loved Lars and the Real Girl. I laughed, I cried. It was good stuff.
I really liked watching Bolt and especially when G started singing the title song! I know Nana was down with it too.
Which show was it? If it’s not Bolt, I don’t even remember! BYW, I loved Bolt, but not as much as G.
I am going to have to check that out! Thanks for the review!!!
If The Woman wants to watch a show, I only have to wait about 10 minutes into it before she falls asleep and I can put something good on.
Oh James, that is the same way it is here. It is because Women are EXHAUSTED.
