in family togetherness, G, Little Missy

Monday afternoon—at the end of a long afternoon of running errands that involved loading and unloading my kids from the car too many times—we were finally leaving our last stop, Target.  I was tired and spacing out and saw a lady around my age, wearing a dress with leggings underneath, and she looked really cute and not at all like she was trying to be young.  And then I started wondering if all of us moms who like to wear dresses but worry about showing our undies as we load and unload kids from the car can also wear leggings without looking like Lindsay Lohan.

All of the sudden I realized the high-pitched barking sound that I’d been ignoring was coming from my daughter.  Right as I was about to ask Little Missy to stop, G reached out his hand and said “Come along, Bolt.”  And she took his hand and they walked all the way to the car, hand-in-hand.
