day-to-day stuff

in family togetherness, friends, He is good

Open Season wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought.  Well, in the hunting aspect it wasn’t all that bad.  Mostly it was a story about a relationship between a grizzly and a deer.  But the movie was exhaustingly boring.  And since the writers couldn’t come up with intelligent or appropriate humor they resorted to the potty humor that makes seven-year-olds laugh.   Not even funny potty humor, just the kind that makes you roll your eyes.  Luckily, Little Missy was so bored she barely paid attention and I think the theater was too loud for G to hear most of the jokes.   They haven’t talked about hunting since, and the lack of questions tells me they didn’t care about the movie.  But it was a fun time at the Bugs Bunny Club.  Nana and Grandpa were able to join us and G won a prize!  Too bad this Saturday is the last Bugs Bunny Club for a while.

Since Nana and Grandpa were in town we got to eat out at yummy places, yummy places like Yia Yia’s.  Mmmmm.  I enjoyed yummy salad that balanced the very unhealthy but extremely delicious brownie phyllo dough.

This morning at MOPs we raised an enormous amount of money for a fellow MOPs mommy whose son is in need.  I am blessed to be part of a group of women who love God, love each other, and rally together when someone needs help.
