- Right now both of the kids are watching a Barbie Rapunzel movie, even though G informed Little Missy that boys “Don’t like Barbie movies. Only girls.” And he said it with a bit of disdain. While I may have internally said that only girls like Barbies I have not said it out loud. But now they are both watching it and G is learning new words like “atrocious” and “fainting.” Learning comes at all times when you’re a parent.
- I wish I could be excited about LOST like other people. Specifically people who I trust in their taste of shows and movies, such as Heidi and Todd. But Hubby grew tired after the first season and I grew tired after the second of all the plotlines that go nowhere. Sis told me that they’re doing a great job now that they have an end-date in sight, but Hubby and I are too far removed to have any idea what is going on.
- Have you guys started watching Battlestar Galactica yet? Apparently the season opener was amazing. I can’t wait to catch up.
- This Sunday is Hubby’s birthday and I hired a babysitter so the two of us can have a date night. This is the first time I have ever paid a babysitter. I am super excited. Since it is Hubby’s birthday I am letting him choose the movie and he wants to see The Wrestler. Hubby and I watched Requiem for a Dream back in the day and it scarred me. I still can’t deal with how traumatic it was. So now Hubby wants to watch another Darren Aronofsky movie and I’m worried.
- The other night we watch Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Don’t believe the rumors that it’s funny. It’s not. It’s stupid.

You’re so right about me hitting poor Melissa with my purse! I still have no idea why I did that. I suppose to get attention from my sisters’ cool friends. I always wanted to be around all of you when you would come over
As for LOST – I agree. We got bored during the start of third season I think , and now we are too far gone to have any clue what is going on. Maybe someday I’ll rent it again. I also tried to watch Requiem for A Dream a while back, and it was weird and dark. Now my hubby wants to see The Wrestler as well. I told him Gran Torino instead. Although for my birthday, I told him I got to rent the movie of my choice since we don’t have any little kiddies at home yet, I would rather watch in my PJ’s.
Ooh, yeah, Darren Aronofsky is in a genre all his own… good luck with that!
How have you never paid a sitter?!- you are spoiled rotten by family.
Lost is ridiculous. I wish my husband would quit watching it like everybody else in the world. When are they going to cancel it already? And, your sister is wrong. They are still doing a terrible job. Lost and 24 are the reasons I bought Jackie headphones for the TV. If you are going to watch bad TV, then you should do it with headphones.
Monica, you are wrong. Oh, so, so wrong. Lost is brilliant.
And I have the power of the Interwebs behind me.
Todd, I bet you could use a good pair of headphones.
Angela, actually we don’t go on dates nearly enough. Like, once every 3 months or so. We should have been paying for a babysitter a long time ago.
Hey! My advice on Lost is wait for the whole show to be done in a few years and then catch up with the DVDs. Because it’s such a good show, and the ends are being tied up.
Let me know how you liked the Wrestler… we saw it on Friday night and I’m curious to hear what you say!
Lost is better than Battlestar Galactica.
That’s all I have to say.
